Fly Fishing Fly Tying- UV Resin Workshop

When UV Resins first came out for fly tying, we wanted to give it a try. There were epoxy flies that we wanted to tie but never did because we didn’t want to deal with the wait, mess and curing of epoxy.  We saw vises from tiers that used epoxy to tie their saltwater flies and the mess it made on the vise jaws and base.  UV Resins eliminated the wait and some of the mess.  Here is an epoxy substitute that dried in seconds. Flies covered: Thunder Creek Streamer, Surf Candy/Resin Sand Eel, UV Ultra Shrimp, and Craft Fur Streamer. 

The instructors will send you a materials list before the workshop and the UV Resin will be supplied by the Solarez UV Resin Company.  

 Our lead instructor, Jerry Coviello, has over 30 years experience as a fly tying instructor and is an internationally known columnist for Fly Tyer Magazine (the world's largest publication dedicated to the art of tying flies), Fly Tying Field Editor for Fly Fishers International FlyFisher Magazine, and the Fly Fishers International FlyTying Group chairperson.  Sheldon Slusser is a Fly Fishers International Fly Tying group member, Secretary of the Delaware Valley Fly Fishers and Bronze Fly Tying Skill award recipient.
